Loved the hotel, it is wonderful and clean, has stunning location on the Izu peninsula. Location: the property was next to Tatadohama beach, the restaurant, and Shimoda city center. Huge room, besides I had a magnificent view of the beach and ocean.

Located right next to the beach, this hotel offers a beautiful view of the sea. the well-stocked gift shop near the reception adds to the convenience of the location. All rooms offer unrestricted views of the beach, making them perfect for a serene stay.
The hotel staff’s level of English is not consistent.

The location is amazing, being just next to Tatado beach with stunning views of the ocean from rooms on the 1st floor with an outdoor veranda and private onsen. The breakfast is also delicious with plenty of Japanese options.
All was good during my stay.

Stunning ocean view and access to open, air onsen, friendly and helpful staff, and well, stocked gift shop. the location offers easy access to transport options and free parking on site. the spacious rooms, clean facilities, and Japanese traditional experience make it a memorable stay.
Limited dining options and pricey accommodations, lack of English, speaking staff, and not suitable for persons with mobility problems due to steep stairs and no elevator access to some areas. the hotel is located outside the main town, and there are no shops, bars, or restaurants in the immediate area.

The view from the room was breathtaking, with stunning views of the beach and the ocean. The dinner was also amazing, with fresh seafood and unique presentation. It was great to experience traditional Japanese cuisine. The location was also ideal for those who enjoy surfing or the beach.
The hotel was not prepared for Christmas festivities. There were no decorations or special events being offered, which was a disappointment.

This hotel offers incredible value for money, especially if you opt for a standard tatami room without meals included. You can even bring your own food and drinks to save even more. The location is simply unbeatable, right on a cliff overlooking a quiet and beautiful beach, just next to Tatado beach. The staff are attentive and friendly, providing a unique Japanese experience. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a washbasin and balcony on the 1st floor. The highlight is definitely the private outdoor bath, perfect for relaxation.
Everything was just perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at an onsen hotel in Shimoda. The room was clean, spacious, and had a balcony with an amazing view of the ocean. The onsen was relaxing and there was even a free massage chair. The food was exceptional, and we enjoyed a delicious set menu. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Shimoda.
